Peru: Jungle, Culture & Ancient Paths | July 2021 & July 2022

Our Peru trip with Empowered Adventures was truly unforgettable! We started in Lima, exploring the city’s rich history with visits to the catacombs and Pachacamac. From there, we flew to the jungle of Puerto Maldonado, staying in charming bungalows and exploring the wildlife-rich Tambopata National Preserve, where we saw monkeys, macaws, sloths, caimans, and caught stunning sunsets from jungle canopies. Afterward, we flew to Cusco, visited a traditional Andean village for an amazing cultural experience, and explored the Sacred Valley’s historical sites. A highlight was hiking a portion of the Inca Trail from Wiñay Wayna to the Sun Gate, taking in the breathtaking views of Machu Picchu. We ended the adventure with a stay in a stunning hotel in Aguas Calientes before heading back to Cusco and home.
